Daniel McCURDY 1777-1878 and Margaret "Peggy" McCAULEY 1788-1881 were married about 1812 in County Antrim, Ireland. In1847, with atleast four small children, the family set out for Upper Canada settling in Tecumseh Twonship, Simcoe County where five more children where apparently born. Their daughter Jane McCURDY married James "Cochrane" McCAULEY and settled in Holland Township, Grey County, Ontario. Sons Samuel and David raised their families in Arran Township, Bruce County, Ontario.
